In the upcoming national elections, several platforms, programs, and even promises have been presented by aspiring public officials regarding changes in our food and agriculture systems. In light of widespread and increasing rates of hunger and malnutrition, injustices towards small food producers, subservience to corporations, and the ongoing people’s resistance, it is important to define, claim, and highlight agroecology at the center and framework for change in our food and agricultural systems.
